Dear Colleagues,
The abstract submission deadline is approaching. We are three weeks (November 28th) from the deadline.
We would like to invite you to submit your abstract and present your research on Teaching/Pedagogy at the upcoming annual conference of the Production & Operations Management Society (POMS) in Houston, TX (May 4-7, 2018). If you would like to organize a session on a particular topic related to Teaching/Pedagogy please let us know.
The Teaching/Pedagogy in P/OM track is focused on research, practices, and new ideas in, but not limited to, the following aspects of teaching production and operations management:
(1) development and delivery of new courses/curriculum that prepares students for essential skills for the 21st century,
(2) innovative delivery methods for new or existing courses,
(3) development and delivery issues concerning online courses, including Massive On-line Open Courses (MOOCs), and other new approaches,
(4) course design for student-centered learning,
(5) innovative teaching strategies for student engagement and retention,
(6) technology tools for effective student learning,
(7) lessons learned from new teaching strategies,
(8) outcomes based course design including Assurance of Learning (AoL),
(9) integration of material within and across courses, disciplines, and programs, and
(10) enhancement of practice/experiential learning.
