Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

we are pleased to announce the Call for Papers for this conference jointly hosted by TU Darmstadt and TU Dortmund. The 3rd ICPLT will be held in Darmstadt, Germany. The conference will start at 10 a.m. on Monday September 25th, 2017 and will continue until 4 p.m. September 26th, 2017 on Tuesday.

The conference addresses an audience concerned with the disciplines production, logistics and traffic, including spatial and transport planning, which is interested in discussing scientific and application-oriented approaches. Practitioners, politicians, representatives of public authorities and researchers from production, logistics and traffic are invited to benefit from the conference as a platform for knowledge-exchange and transfer.

During the two-day conference, distinguished speakers will address selected interdisciplinary topics in key notes. Designated innovative research and practice approaches will be presented in 30-minute talks during parallel sessions. In addition, the best contributions to the conference will be awarded. Furthermore, there is plenty of opportunity to network, especially at the conference dinner which will be hosted at the end of the first conference day.

The focus of the conference is on (but not limited to) the following interdisciplinary topics related to Production, Logistics and Traffic:

  * Intermodal transport and logistics hubs

  * Supply chain and supply network management

  *   Production management

  *   Logistics systems

  *   Intralogistics and warehousing

  * Transport policy and governance principles

  *   Freight transport demand modelling/management

  *   Traffic control and management

  *   Humanitarian logistics

  *   Commercial transport

Senior scientists, PhD students and experts in the fields of Production, Logistics and Traffic are invited to submit their contributions. Therefore, contributors are requested to submit a short abstract between 1st November, 2016 and January 15th, 2017. These short abstracts should contain no more than 3.000 characters (not counting spaces). The short abstracts will be reviewed by a Scientific Committee by means of a single-blind procedure until March 31st, 2017. By this date, the authors of accepted contributions will be informed and conference registration will be possible. The deadline for submission of the extended abstracts, with a maximum length of 10.000 characters, is June 30th, 2017. The language of the abstracts has to be English.

The selected extended abstracts will be made available for all attendees in a conference proceeding. We welcome submissions from advanced experts in this field but at the same time encourage PhD students to contribute to a successful conference.

We are looking forward to receiving your outstanding abstract and having the opportunity to welcome you in Darmstadt!
