Please distribute the following position description. This is an update for
a position that was posted previously.
Management: Assistant/Associate Professor Supply Chain Management to begin
August 2017 to contribute to the central elements of the departmental and
divisional mission by combining outstanding research with excellent
teaching and service. Anticipated teaching responsibilities include
teaching both introductory and/or upper-level undergraduate courses in the
Supply Chain and Operations Management major consistent with candidate
expertise and interests.
Required: Doctorate in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or
closely related field (completed by December 31, 2017 for appointment to a
second year); candidate should show excellence in teaching and demonstrate
a strong research record/potential through publications and/or pipeline
that would include working papers or papers under review. To be considered
at the rank of associate professor, candidates must have prior academic
experience, a well-developed research portfolio, and strong evidence of
teaching excellence.
Strong candidates will have completed PhD; accepted/published research in
highly regarded journals; excellent teaching evaluations in the area of
supply chain management or operations management.
