The Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management at Wayne State University's Ilitch School of Business Administration is seeking to fill a non-tenure track Senior Lecturer in Supply Chain Management position for the Fall/Winter, 2016/2017 academic year.  This would be for a one year appointment.  Requirements for the position include an earned Ph.D., or ABD status, in Supply Chain Management from an AACSB accredited program.  The selected candidate also must meet the schools AACSB "academically qualified" requirements; either through a Ph.D. (or ABD status) within the last 5 years; or for those receiving the Degree more than five years ago, a journal publication record that would meet the School's requirements. All candidates should also be able to show effective past teaching experience. The ideal candidate would have an interest in the global and very high tech automotive industry.  The teaching load for this position is 3X3.  The selected candidate would teach in the school's Undergrad or MBA core Operations and Supply Chain Management course, and/or in courses related to purchasing, logistics, or quality.  Salary and benefits packages are competitive.

The AACSB-International accredited School of Business Administration is one of 13 schools and colleges comprising the University academic community with 2400 undergraduate business majors and 750 graduate business students. The growing Supply Chain Management Major and Program currently enrolls some 435 undergraduate students, and offers an MBA concentration in Supply Chain Management with 91 students.  The Program also offers two automotive industry related SCM executive education programs on an annual basis.  There are currently eight SCM full time faculty slots in the Department, with this being the 8th position.  The SCM Program also coordinates four automotive industry and SCM related study abroad programs in China, Brazil, Italy and Poland; and oversees an automotive industry funded 24 school global case competition.

WSU is located in the heart of Detroit's Midtown cultural center; with easy access to the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Detroit Symphony, numerous museums, and professional football, baseball, and hockey venues.  Wayne State is also very close to the high tech, global auto companies headquartered in the Detroit area, with a large number of other world class manufacturer headquarters in the area; and is within two miles of Canadian border crossings to Windsor, Ontario.
