Call for Applications
			Berlin, June 2013



Ladies and Gentlemen,

To promote outstanding academic research on issues related to logistics,
every year the Stinnes Foundation bestows the

                            DB Schenker Award.

The Stinnes Foundation was founded 30 years ago, so this year, there is a
jubilee prize.

The DB Schenker Award carries a cash prize of EUR 10,000 as well as an
allowance of EUR 5,000 for the supervising department.

Papers must be handed in by July 31, 2013. Eligible contenders for the
award are authors of doctoral and postdoctoral theses or comparable
academic papers submitted to the relevant examination boards between August
1st, 2012 and June 30th, 2013. The application form for the DB Schenker
Award can be downloaded from our website at http://www.dbschenker.com/award

The paper - written in English or German - should preferably be devoted to
logistics but other fields will also be accepted if they provide findings
that are of particular benefit for logistics.

The application must contain the following:

   n	Completed application form, signed and stamped by the works‘
      supervising professor
   n	Applicant’s CV
   n	Anonymous abstract / short version of paper (up to three pages only,
      not concerning the name or institution of the applicant, only the
      works title)

Please be aware that if your work  is selected among the top five you will
be asked to hand in four complete copies of your work which will not be
returned after finishing the application process.
