Information Systems and Supply Chain Management Department Chair

Description
The Department of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management (INSC) of the Neeley School of Business at TCU invites applications for chair of the department. We are seeking candidates with a distinguished record of accomplishment in supply and value chain management, with demonstrated potential to be an effective department chair. The appointment as INSC chair requires an initial 4-year administrative commitment. We are searching for an inspiring teacher-scholar, leader and colleague who will enhance the INSC departmental initiatives, including growing the supply chain and information systems majors and programs. The INSC department chair will also coordinate curriculum development and planning.
The Department offers undergraduate majors in Business Information Systems and in Supply and Value Chain Management. The Neeley School anticipates starting a Master of Science in Supply and Value Chain Management in the Fall semester 2013, and currently offers a certificate in Supply and Value Chain Management. Neeley faculty in Operations Management and Statistics are also members of INSC. The Supply Chain Management undergraduate program was tied for 17th best in the country in the recent supply chain management study by Gartner Supply Chain Leaders. The consulting editor of the Journal of Operations Management holds an endowed chair at TCU.

Requirements
Candidates for the position should possess an earned doctorate in supply and value chain management or a related area, and should currently hold the rank of full or associate professor. Expectations for the successful candidate include strong evidence of distinguished scholarly accomplishment and teaching excellence, and evidence of administrative leadership experience, which might include previous chair experience, experience as a center director, graduate program director, a position of leadership in a professional organization, or similar activity. The salary range is competitive and commensurate with qualifications.
