Director, Office of Freight Management and Operations.   

FHWA wants to attract a diverse pool of candidates with strong leadership skills and interested in an SES opportunity to provide executive direction on issues relating to the highway freight industry; leading the development of FHWA’s intermodal goods movement vision, mission, strategies and policy direction.  The Director is responsible for administering nationwide freight management programs, policies and regulations including:  performance management, hazardous materials routing, size and weight requirements, freight standards harmonization and freight corridor programs.
