Assistant/Associate Professor - Supply Chain Management #5974

The College of Business Administration at The University of Akron invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in Supply Chain Management, starting in Fall 2011.

The Department of Management offers strong undergraduate and graduate programs with concentrations in Supply Chain Management in addition to Information Systems, Human Resource Management, and Management of Technology and Innovation. The Department has 20 full time faculty members and serves about 3,000 undergraduate and 500 graduate majors in the College of Business Administration (CBA).

Requirements:     A PhD in Supply Chain Management, or a related business discipline from an AACSB accredited or highly regarded university is required. ABDs near completion will be considered. Candidates must demonstrate a strong record of, or potential for, quality research and teaching, and be able to interact with students, faculty, and the business community.  Applicants with relevant business work experience related to supply chain management will be given additional consideration. Compensation will be competitive and will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
