Hello - the Supply Chain Management Major and Program in the Department of
Marketing and Supply Chain Management, School of Business at Wayne State
University is recruiting for an Asst/Assoc Prof tenure track position
starting Fall 11 - Wayne State University is a Carnegie Research
University (RU/VH) with an enrollment exceeding 30,000 students and is one
of the three major state research universities that comprise Michigan's
University Research Corridor - The AACSB-International accredited School
of Business Administration has 2,800 undergraduate business majors and
1,000 MBA students. - The Supply Chain Major currently has some 145
undergraduate students and we have five full time faculty in SCM (4 tenure
track) - the SCM web page is at www.business.wayne.edu/gscm - the business
school has a required core Operations and SCM course and the undergraduate
major has five required courses covering Global SCM,
Logistics/Transportation, Purchasing, TQM, and a capstone, plus one
elective - preferred candidates would have an SCM operations management
orientation and global/international supply chain research and teaching
interests - candidates should have an understanding of the integrated
nature of SCM across operations, purchasing and logistics - however, all
candidates will be considered - competitive salary, normal Asst Prof 2+2
loads, summer research and attractive benefits packages are offered -
