The Department of Marketing and Logistics at the University of North Texas invites applicants for a lecturer position in Aviation Logistics for the Fall 2011 semester.  The appointment is for three years, renewable.

The candidate must have a master's degree in logistics/supply chain management, aviation or aeronautics, or related engineering disciplines and aviation experience.  Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the following areas: terminal degree in the relevant discipline; experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in aviation or logistics/supply chain management experience as a commercial or military pilot; conducting research and publishing in referred academic journals; developing academic courses; and establishing working relationships with professionals in the aviation and logistics/supply chain disciplines.  Candidates will maintain a teaching course load of at least 2-3, advise students on aviation logistics careers, develop curriculum, and assist in developing on-line materials for blending learning.  Actual course loads are assigned based on departmental needs.  Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and degree held.
