Sami Shalabi is a software inventor and entrepreneur. He co-founded Zingku,
a consumer startup that enabled users, musicians, developers and merchants
to creatively engage with their social networks via mobile, IM, email, and
web. In October 2007, Zingku was acquired by Google, Inc., at which Sami
took the role of Member of Technical Staff.



Prior to Zingku, Sami had leadership and architecture responsibilities for a
number of products at Lotus, Iris Associates, and IBM. These include Lotus
Domino, Lotus Quickplace, WebSphere Portal, WebSphere Application Server,
and Lotus Connections.



Sami's patent portfolio includes 9 issued patents, and 23 patent
applications. He received his SB, and MEng from MIT, where he did research
at the MIT Media Lab, and the MIT Computer Graphics Group.
