MIT INTERNATIONAL REVIEW

WRITING CONTEST
$500 and $400 for BEST and SECOND-BEST STUDENT-WRITTEN ESSAYS

We invite faculty, researchers, practitioners, students, and other
interested individuals at MIT and beyond, to submit articles for
publication in the inaugural issue of the MIT International Review
(MITIR), MIT?s first interdisciplinary journal of international
affairs.

We seek well composed, vigorously argued, and accessible articles
pertaining to all aspects of international affairs, especially the
identification of global problems and their solutions. We encourage
submissions in the spirit of our mission statement.

We welcome essays, original research, case studies, opinion editorials,
book reviews, and field reports, among other types of submissions.

We welcome writing from any field that contributes to the study of
international affairs, ranging from political science, economics, and
development, to public health, sociology, and urban planning.

The first-place and second-place student essay submissions will be
awarded $500 and $400 respectively.

Please submit your work to mitir-editors at mit.edu no later than Monday,
April 10, 2006. Questions or concerns may be directed to
