I think that LDAP alias support is more important than db2.
Personally if I had to pick one it would be LDAP.

However I understand you may have different constraints.

OTOH, if I'm understanding the LDAP issues that should be a very simple patch.
Is there any chance we could get someone not at MIT to agree to contribute it?
