Generate AS-REQ with RENEWABLE_OK flag?

How do I generate a an AS_REQ with the RENEWABLE_OK flag set?

Absent a specific krb5_get_init_creds_opt_set*() function it looks  
like I ought to just do a "opt.flags |= KDC_OPT_RENEWABLE_OK;", but  
if I do that I just get a ASN1_MISSING_FIELD error.  (If I do it in  
Heimdal then I don't get the error, but it doesn't set the flag,  
either.)
