krb5_[fm]cc_generate_new in krb5-1.3.1

Hi,

is there any reason why the krb5_fcc_generate_new() call was made local in
1.3.1 while krb5_mcc_generate_new() is still exported (as in previous 1.2.x
releases):
  nm krb5-1.3.1/lib/libkrb5.a |grep generate_new
  000027e4 t krb5_fcc_generate_new
  0000060c T krb5_mcc_generate_new

Is there any recommended method for creating ccaches, which would work with
both 1.2.x and 1.3.x? Thank you,
