The primary issue related to the current CCAPI implementation is that is
written C++ which makes the creation of portable libraries very
difficult. A C based CCAPI implementation is already in the works.
As for Sam's comments regarding the RPC interfaces for KfM and KfW. It
is likely the RPC interface between the client and the server will be
significantly re-written on both MacOS X and Windows as part of the new
CCAPI implementation. Distributing a hack for the current code base
could create significant support headaches for the KfM and KfW developers.
