setting up kerberos on mac os 10.2

hi,

just getting started with os10, and just setting up kerberos for the first
time.  i have downloaded and installed the extras package. so far so good...
but when i try to get a ticket kerberos can't find it's configuration file.
presently i have krb5.conf set up in the /etc directory.

would you be kind enough to send me step by step instructions on how to get
kerberos up and running?
