Random failure while communicating with KDC

So, for our case, it seems to succeed connecting and even writing but fails
to read.  Since the error is "Operation in Progress", is there a race here
where may be the wait is not long enough or the code should return back and
re-poll fd status again.

BTW, want to mention again that when the address is IPv4, everything seems
to be working.  What could be wrong?
