What an inappropriate and exaggerated response to a simple suggestion as to
how someone might do something differently.  It's especially surprising
considering that you brought yourself and your situation into this
conversation - you shouldn't be surprised or offended if folks discuss it.
 After all, that's what folks do here.

You should probably also realize that the Internet has a seemingly infinite
memory and that your name and work email address will be forever associated
with this rant, and may come back to haunt you.  I've learned that lesson
the hard way a few times, it'd be wise for you to learn it as well.
 Especially since your employer is well-known for not having a great sense
of humor.
