Hi Russ,
According to [https://developer.mozilla.org/En/
Integrated_Authentication], if i well understand,  Firefox doesn't
need to be rebuilt for NegotiateAuth support.
NegotiateAuth has just to be configured with network.nego* directives
(in about:config).
