If you are using a Heimdal server, than you must use Heimdal's tools.
The kadmin protocol for each of Solaris, MIT, Heimdal, AD, ... are all 
different
and incompatible.   Simply build the Heimdal tools for each platform you 
wish
to use ktutil on.
