kprop problem (slave installation)

Hi all,
I'm setting up a master-slave K5 implementation, using v1.3.3 and following
the mit guide.
I have successfully installed the master, but when i try to kprop the
database to my slave with the command:

/usr/local/sbin/kprop -f /usr/local/var/krb5kdc/slave_datatrans
slave.ba.infn.it

i have the following error:

/usr/local/sbin/kprop: Connection reset by peer while authenticating to
server

On the slave the only log that has a trace of the failed transaction is the
auth.log:

May 19 15:30:11 slave xinetd[1237]: START: krb_prop pid=1454 from=ip.master
May 19 15:30:11 slave xinetd[1454]: FAIL: krb_prop address from=ip.master

On the master in the krb5kdc.log one can read:

May 19 15:30:11 master krb5kdc[1080](info): AS_REQ (2 etypes {16 1})
ip.master: ISSUE: authtime 1084973411, etypes {rep=16 tkt=16 ses=16},
host/master.ba.infn.it at BA.INFN.IT for host/slave.ba.infn.it at BA.INFN.IT

Am i missing something? What can i try to diagnose and resolve the problem? 
I'm really stuck...
