We use kerberos system on redhat Linux 9.0 ...

But kernel file descriptors parameter is only 1024...

example)

]$/usr/local/bin/rlogin -F -x -l irteam hostname

This rlogin session is encrypting all data transmissions.
Last login: Thu Mar 18 10:25:40 from xxx

hostname]$ limit
cputime unlimited
filesize unlimited
datasize unlimited
stacksize 8192 kbytes
coredumpsize 0 kbytes
memoryuse unlimited
vmemoryuse unlimited
descriptors 1024
memorylocked unlimited
maxproc 16000

But ssh v1.0 authentication use ...

/>ssh -l account hostname
 password:

hostname]$ limit
cputime unlimited
filesize unlimited
datasize unlimited
stacksize 8192 kbytes
coredumpsize 0 kbytes
memoryuse unlimited
vmemoryuse unlimited
descriptors 16000
memorylocked unlimited
maxproc 16000

$ uname -a
Linux 2.4.20-8smp #1 SMP Thu Mar 13 17:45:54 EST 2003 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
