regarding query for kerberos

hello sir,
        i am student of computer engineering from india, i want to devolop a project taking 
topic of kerberos.
          Sir but i am very much confused to how to and what to do , which type of project should i take and how should i approch the topic.
        So please help me for the same and give some guidence .
