Full Time Faculty: Visiting Assistant Professor of History
DeSales University's Department of Humanities, housed in the College of Arts, Education, and Humanities, invites applications for a full-time, two-year position as a non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor of History to begin August 2025. The successful applicant will teach a variety of courses for the Connections Curriculum general education core<https://www.desales.edu/academics/connections-curriculum-at-desales-university> and upper-level undergraduate courses of their choice (in consultation with the Program Chair) for the History Major. The annual teaching load is 24 credits, typically 4-4.
A Ph.D. in History or a closely related field is preferred; A.B.D. will be required. A university record of teaching is required. Special consideration will be given to candidates with scholarly specialization and teaching experience in Public History with a geographical focus in Colonial America, Modern United States, or Modern Europe.
