<p style="box-sizing:border-box; margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:15px">DeSales University's Department of Humanities, housed in the College of Arts, Education, and Humanities, invites applications for a full-time, two-year position as a non-tenure track Visiting
Assistant Professor of History to begin August 2025. The successful applicant will teach a variety of courses for the <a rel="noopener" href="https://www.desales.edu/academics/connections-curriculum-at-desales-university" target="_blank" style="box-sizing:border-box; color:rgb(0,98,167); text-decoration:none">Connections
Curriculum general education core</a> and upper-level undergraduate courses of their choice (in consultation with the Program Chair) for the History Major. The annual teaching load is 24 credits, typically 4-4.</p>
<p style="box-sizing:border-box; margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:15px">A Ph.D. in History or a closely related field is preferred; A.B.D. will be required. A university record of teaching is required. Special consideration will be given to candidates with scholarly
specialization and teaching experience in Public History with a geographical focus in Colonial America, Modern United States, or Modern Europe.</p>
