Subject: Tufts' Experimental College seeks adjunct lecturers for Fall 2012
Adjunct instructors wanted for the Fall 2012 semester to design and teach
small, discussion-based courses that promote active learning and engage
Tufts undergraduates in an exploration of ideas and experiences shaping the
world today. Classes that offer critical contexts for thinking about
cultural studies, current affairs, technology, film, television, law, social
issues, world religions, environmental concerns, advertising and marketing,
business, healthcare, and ethics have all been well received. Twenty courses
will be chosen from a very competitive pool. The semester begins Tuesday,
September 4, 2012, and runs through Monday, December 10, 2012. Classes meet
in the evening, once or twice a week, for a total of 2.5 contact hours per
week, over what comes out to thirteen teaching weeks. For more information
and an application packet, go to www.excollege.tufts.edu , call
617-627-3384, or email us at excollege at tufts.edu . Deadline to apply:
Friday, March 9, 2012.
