Dear Ms. Gardner:

Attached please find a job announcement for two history openings we have at Michigan Technological University.  Both openings are for tenure-track positions at the assistant professor level.  One opening is for a European historian (pre-1848) and one is for a non-Western historian who can teach courses in world history.  Because of the nature of our department's graduate programs, we seek persons to fill the positions who explore European history or non-Western history through the lenses of history of technology or environmental history.  MIT's PhD graduates in the HASTS Program would therefore suit our purposes very nicely.
