Good afternoon everyone!
The last official orientation event has arrived! Having had a taste of
typical Boston weather this weekend, we are sure that you are finally
settling in to the MIT lifestyle.

Monday, September 20
6pm onwards Boston Red Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles [Departs Ashdown]
(information included at the bottom of this email)

Also, this is not on the schedule, but Dean Staton and the Graduate
Students Office are sponsoring a special Welcome Reception for Incoming
Women Graduate Students. At this event, there will be a number of faculty
and administrators present to discuss many issues, including counseling and
support services. The event will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 21 @ 4:30PM in
the Chipman Room (8-314). For questions, please call Dean Staton at 253-4869.

Please look forward to a final wrap-up email from us...Thanks, and see you
tonight!

Sincerely,
Sylvain & Eric

Hello all of you.
If you are not attending the Red Sox game on Monday, Sept. 20, please
disregard this email. This email contains:
-Departure locations and instructions
-Seating Instructions
-Directions

Departure Locations and Instructions;
We will be departing from 2 locatons: Ashdown house (for those who want to
walk over to Fenway) and the Kendall T-Stop (for those who would like to
take the T). Please note that both groups will be departing at 6PM sharp.
For those of you new to the area, you will see that during a Red Sox game,
the T often runs much slower, and will require for you to be boarding the
Red Line no later than 6PM. The T-route will be; (starting at Kendall) Red
Line inbound to Park St., then Park St. (B, C, or D lines) to Kenmore Square.

Seating Instructions:
We have purchased a large block of seats. However, we need everyone to sit
in their assigned seat (the seat number is on the ticket). If you purchased
tickets for yourself and a guest that are not adjacent, please go to your
assigned seat first and then try to exchange with someone. This has worked
in the past and there shouldn't be any problems. Nonetheless, Sylvain and
I, and the two event coordinators, will be on hand to ensure that
everything goes smoothly.

Directions;
If you plan to find your own way over to Fenway Park, please get directions
from the Red Sox homepage at;
http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/bos/ballpark/bos_ballpark_directions.jsp
Fenway Park is just south of Kenmore Square in Boston (near the big CITGO
sign!).

Lastly, even though this may seem obvious, please bring your ticket. It
will be required for admission.

If there are any questions, please reply to this email. We are looking
forward to an exciting game! See you on Monday!

Eric & Sylvain
