Hey Off-Campus Residents!

Here's an exciting line-up of July events for y'all. This hot and muggy
month, you have the chance to experience acrobatics, theatrics, and aquatic
adventures--all while enjoying air-conditioning and ambient lighting! But
while you're chilling out inside, don't forget what's going on outside in
our environment! Tune in to MIT Students for Climate Action have been
working on, sign up for some events, and let us know what else you'd like
to see from OCH!

1. Cirque du Soleil: Varekai

Join us for a magical journey to Varekai, "a captivating forest inhabited
by whimsical and enchanted creatures." We've booked awesome stage-center
seats! Cirque du Soleil's retelling of Icarus will inspire you to reach
untold heights in your research and personal life. But hopefully without,
you know, the ultimate demise.

Sign up for a chance to get a subsidized ticket at $20 (originally ~$60!).
If you are selected to attend, you will need to secure your spot by paying
the $20 within a week. (Survey winners not eligible to use their guaranteed
event for this.)

2. Kinky Boots Musical
When: Thursday, August 13, 2015, 7:30pm

Description: Love your musicals? Want to see something about friendship,
passion, and fabulous fashion? Off-Campus Housing is having an event to see
Kinky Boots! It is the winner of 6 Tony Awards, including Best Musical!

The US Tour is swinging by Boston in August, so this is your chance to
watch them!

We have a limited number of tickets, so sign up if you (and possibly a
guest) want a chance at getting a subsidized tickets. We have mezzanine
seats which would normally be $80 if you buy on your own, but the people
selected for this event can get them for $30 per person (we get a group
discount and OCH is covering part of the price). Please note, that if you
are selected for the ticket, to secure your spot, you will need to pay the
$30 price in advance. (Survey winners not eligible to use their guaranteed
event for this.)

3. All-Ages! New England Aquarium
When: Sunday, July 26th (possibly a second date also!)
Where: 1 Central Wharf

Description: Sharkbait hoo ha ha!!!

Here is an event geared to people of all ages--whether you're a parent with
turtle-loving toddlers or a person who just wants to pet a stingray, come
join OCH for an afternoon at the New England Aquarium! You will be welcome
to explore at your own pace or wander around with us. Aquarium residents
include adult anacondas (the world's largest snakes!), penguins, and moon
jellies that have been around since before the dinosaurs! Families with
more than one child are welcome.

PLEASE NOTE: We may have two separate dates for this event. So sign up if
you and your party are at all interested in going, even if July 25 doesn't
work for you. More information will be sent to those who sign up.

OCH will cover the cost of tickets for the Aquarium admission. This is NOT
a combo ticket (will NOT include IMAX or whale watching, but you can
purchase these on your own.) Children under 3 are admitted into the museum
for free.

4. Climate Action
Description: The earth is home to both on-campus and off-campus
communities. Please take this opportunity to encourage MIT leadership to
take action against climate change!

Institute to take bold action against the impending threats of climate
