We have a few great events coming up this month, and would also like to
share some campus-wide announcements.

1. Off-campus lunch at Midwest Grill
When: Saturday, August 20 at 1PM
Where: Midwest Grill, 1124 Cambridge Street, Cambridge, MA
What: A delicious Brazilian barbecue lunch with your fellow off-campus
students. The lunch will be heavily subsidized by the off-campus
subcommittee

2. Comedy night at Improv Asylum
When: Thursday, August 25th at 8PM
Where: Improv Asylum, 216 Hanover Street, Boston, MA
What: An improv comedy show at one of Boston's favorite comedy clubs.
Tickets will be fully subsidized by the off-campus sub-committee. Space
is limited, so RSVP soon.

The off-campus subcommittee is looking for enthusiastic people to
organize fun events for our community. If you would like to organize
something, be it a dinner, a trip, a party, or something totally new,
please let us know!

4. GSC Six Flags trip
Who: MIT Graduate Students + maximum of 1 guest per person (space limited)
What: GSC day-trip to Six Flags Theme Park
When: August 21, 2011 (Sunday) - 10am to 10pm
Where: Six Flags Theme Park, Agawam, MA. Bus pickup at 9am Tang Hall, 550 Memorial Drive

5. Economy graduate resident parking
Economy Graduate Resident parking will once again be available in
the_gated_Westgate Lot for $700. Please follow this two step process to
apply:
1.Apply for a Westgate Resident Permit using our on-line parking
applicationhttps://commuting.mit.edu/parking/index.html.
2.Send an email tomitparking at mit.edu
<mailto:mitparking at mit.edu>requesting Economy Graduate Resident Parking.
The permits will be issued in early September.
