Hi Off-Campus Grads,
I hope you all had a fun/productive/relaxing IAP and are getting ready
for the Spring term. Included in this email are some upcoming events
that may be of interest to you. We'll be holding an off-campus meeting
to decide on this terms events later in February, so start thinking what
you'd like to see us do.

1. TBP Spring Career Fair
February 2, 2010 (First Day of Classes)
Rockwell Cage, 9AM-3PM
Looking for a job or internship? Come to the upcoming career fair on the
first day of classes. Attending companies and organizations include
Apple, Capital IQ, the CIA, Intel, Life Technologies, Lockheed Martin,
Medtronic, Morgan Stanley, Microsoft, and many more. Visit

2. Chinese Spring Festival Celebration
Feb. 6th. Saturday
12 Collegiate Spring Festival Gala
The annually biggest Chinese Spring Festival Celebration in the Great
Boston Area. In its 4th year, the attending university has increased to
12, including MIT, Harvard, BU, BC, Northeastern U., Suffolk, UMass,
Berklee College of Music, Bentley, Tufts, Brandeis, Mount Holyoke
College. Great performance from the 12 colleges as well as popular
Boston art groups will heat the night at MIT Kresge Theater. This is one
of the largest Chinese community event in Boston area and is rated as
one of the best way to celebrate the Spring Festival in
local Boston!

5. The Future of Computers
Lionel Goulet, an MIT Class of '74 Course VI grad will be giving a
presentation entitled The Future of Computers and How to Publish a Novel
at the Belmont Retired Men's Club, 266 Beech Street, Belmont, MA on
Wednesday, February 17th, 2010 at 9:30 AM. The presentation is open to all.
Mr. Goulet, a 40-year student of the computer and the human race's
attempt to deal with it, has written a novel, recently published, that
tells an exciting fictional story of why the computer is so important,
and what the next steps are going to look like. Come and see if your
imagined future matches his. Refreshments will be served and Mr. Goulet
will read a chapter or two from his novel.
