Hi Off-Campus Grads,
Welcome to summer. Classes are over and the sun has finally come out, 
what better reasons for getting out from the lab.  The off-campus 
community still has some budget left over, so if you have an event that 
you think other students would like, why not get it subsidized. Just 
shoot me an email describing the event.

Events:
1) "Hellow Summer" BBQ - May 30
2) Institute/Faculty Committee - Deadline June 9
3) GSC Orientation Logo Contest - Deadline June 15

1) The "Hello Summer" BBQ in Edgerton Courtyard is now tomorrow (Friday 
5/30) at 5:30 pm due to the high chance of rain on Saturday.
 
Come relax after a hard day's work!  There will be yummy burgers, hot 
dogs, sausages, portabellas and veggie options.  There will even be 
summer decor, so come check it out :)
 
If you have some time tomorrow, we're also looking for some extra sets 
of hands to help us set up and prepare food.  Please just send a reply 
back to this e-mail if you're willing.

2) Apply to Serve on an Institute/Faculty Committee! - DEADLINE EXTENDED 
TO JUNE 9th

The GSC is currently seeking graduate representatives for Institute and 
Faculty Committees. These committees are involved with some of the 
highest levels of decision making here at MIT and they need graduate 
representation.

3) Interested in designing a logo for GSC Orientation?  It will appear 
on the
Orientation T-shirt, GSN magazine, and posters all over campus!

If your logo is selected, you will get a $100 gift card to Cambridgeside
Galleria!!! Besides, your name will appear on the GSN magazine!

Deadline to submit:   June 15th, 2008

Please send your logo in the form of a JPG to gsc-oc at mit.edu, along with
your name, course number and a brief description of your logo.
