the Barry Astroturf Field. Jack Barry Field is a 100,000-square foot
Astroturf field created in 1999 for intercollegiate lacrosse and field
hockey, but in 2008 will become the battle grounds for graduate
interdorm competition...
... and sportsmanship.
The Barry Astroturf Field is west of the Kreske Pits. For more details,
view the map here: http://whereis.mit.edu/map-jpg?selection=G11&Greens=go
DETAILS: Field day games such as hula hoops, kickball, relay races, tug
of war, and more! Inflatables including sumo wrestling, obstacle
courses, and jousting! Represent your dorm at the Graduate Interdorm
Field Day! Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

2. Shakespeare in the Commons
Thursday, July 24, 7:00pm
Bring a blanket and hangout on the commons enjoying FREE Shakespeare.
This year "As You Like It" will be performed. The performance starts at
8:00pm, but we will be meeting at 7:00 to get decent seats and to enjoy
FREE Greek food. Please RSVP to jtc at mit.edu by 12 noon, Tuesday July 22,
if you plan to attend so we can get enough food. Last year the food went
fast, so make sure to get there on time!
This event is open to spouses/partners and children. Sponsored by GSC
Off-campus Subcommittee.
