[Gsc-hca-family] [Gsc-hca-all] Cost of Living: Second Meeting Wednesday (1/9), 7pm GSC office

Hey all,
Welcome back to MIT for another beautiful IAP.

One of HCA's most important functions is coming up. We need to present
our *recommendation
for next year's graduate stipend increases* early next semester, and to
formulate that we'll need to update our cost of living data with current
CPI data, analyze this, and construct a presentation explaining our choice
to be presented to Academic Council.

This is one of the most important things the GSC does.  In collaboration
with ODGE, we as students help determine what is a reasonable increase in
compensation for ALL of MIT's graduate population, and back it up with
student collected data.  This is one of the most fantastic examples I know
of *student engagement and collaboration with administrators* producing
results that are better than if students took no part.

So get excited, and come join us for a second meeting on Wed 7pm in the GSC
office.
