[Gsc-hca-family] Taxation Issues

Hi GSC Chairs-
I finished my PhD this past Friday and have moved on to start a new  
job, so I will no longer be able to act in the role of Taxation chair.

While Dean Lerman has given us verbal commitment that a policy and  
procedure will be issued by which grad students with families who have  
tax discriminations due to fellowship funding. As far as I know, it  
has not yet been made available (he has not answered my most recent  
emails).

Gilbert (cc'd) has been directly affected and is seeking  
reimbursement. Nearly 2 months ago Dean Lerman gave Gilbert and I a  
verbal commitment that he would initiate the policy within a few week.  
Since then he has not been answering my emails.

I am writing to ask if you could follow up with the Dean during your  
next mtg. Gilbert would be interested in attending to further push the  
issue.
