Everyone is invited to join us for the GSC DEI Conduit Meeting
tomorrow *Thursday,
10/8, at 5pm. *Zoom link here <https://mit.zoom.us/j/94939466402>.  This
will be a continuation of bi-weekly meeting series dedicated to discussing
challenges with improving DEI at the departmental level.
At the meeting, you can expect:

   - *Introductions*, meet your peers=)
   - *Short debrief *from last week's Town Hall on Faculty Hiring and Grad
   Admissions, which included big updates from student leaders in
   Physics/ChemE/EAPS/EECS/DUSP
   - *Follow-up discussion* from the Conduit Meet and Greet 9/23, which
   included hiring diversity officers, DEI committees, department town halls,
   ICEO + dept collab, external advisor boards
   - *Open brainstorm+feedback* on GSC DEI's upcoming Handbook on Grad
   Admissions Advocacy. Our goal is to include a comprehensive roadmap for
   student advocates pushing for equitable graduate admissions, including how
   to strategize with faculty+admin, common pushbacks, examples of dept with
   progresive policies, potential student/faculty allies, legal clarifications
   ...
