- Currently he is the Vice President of Product Development and Co-Founder
   of Immedia Semiconductor (http://www.immediasemi.com/).
- Daniel will talk about entrepreneurship, high tech industry, Immedia and
   his career development.
- Daniel will talk about career paths in high tech.

- Join Professor Venkatesh Narayanamurti for lunch and an informal
   discussion about science policy. Professor Narayanamurti is Director
   of the Science, Technology and Public Policy Program at the Belfer
   Center for Science and International Affairs at the Harvard Kennedy
   School and has served on numerous advisory boards of the federal
   government, research universities and industry. Visit our website

3 What:     Under the Dome: Come Explore MIT!

- We are in need of another 100 students to help give directions, give
   tours, and lead young science-minded students around campus.  Will you
   help us?  We are asking if all of you might consider volunteering for 3
   hours on Saturday, April 30.  We expect over 30,000 people to visit our
   campus.
- A training/orientation session will occur prior to the event with lunch/
   dinner included). On the day of the event, T-shirts and breakfast/lunch
   will be provided to volunteers.

- The public is invited to attend a reception and dedication of the major new
   artwork “Through Layers and Leaves (Closer and Closer)” by Martin Boyce, a
   Percent-for-Art commission for the David H. Koch Institute for Integrative
   Cancer Research at MIT (Building 76). - The reception and dedication will take
   place in 76-156, the conference room off of the lobby of Building 76. The artist
   will be in attendance. The event  is sponsored by the MIT List Visual Arts Center,
   Associate Provost Philip Khoury, Arts at MIT, and the British Council.

- Students who participated in Action Learning programs will convene and
   share details of their project work with members of the MIT community.
- Posters include features from China Lab, India Lab, and Study Tours
   (The Business of Education- Brazil; The Business of Water- China; and
   Renewable Energy- Europe).

7 When:     Monday May 2, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

- The MIT community is invited to participate in our seasonal clothing
   exchange. Please bring your clean, gently used kids clothing, outerwear,
   or shoes for children ages 0-5. Items will be organized by gender and
   size so you can quickly find what you need for your growing little ones.
- CLOTHING DROP-OFF will be from 10 - 11. CLOTHING EXCHANGE will start at
   11. You do not need to bring clothes to participate. Please contact

- A few volunteers are needed to assist in setting up and organizing clothes.

- Science and engineering students, work on your science writing to
   communicate your work to a broader audience!
- Professor Tom Levenson, Director of MIT's renowned Graduate Program
   in Science Writing, will lead a Science Writing Workshop.
- Participants will compose an original brief summary article on a
   scientific topic intended for a lay audience.
- The group will analyze the articles and attendees will learn to
   convey scientific information in a clear and engaging manner.

   student status, department, and a 1-2 sentence statement of interest.
