celebrate the many contributions of Professor Phillip Clay in his role as

food and a chance to thank Professor Clay for his service to MIT.

- Dr. Mark Day, Chief Scientist at Riverbed Technology
(http://www.riverbed.com/us/) will share his experiences.
- Mark has worked at Cisco Systems, SightPath (acquired by Cisco)
and Lotus/IBM.
- Mark has chaired Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) working groups
on Instant Messaging and Presence Protocol (IMPP) and Content
Internetworking (CDI).
- Mark received his PH.D. from EECS, MIT in 1995.
- Please bring your questions - a portion of the talk will be dedicated to
answering your questions!

3 What: MIT150 symposium - Leaders in Science and Engineering:
The Women of MIT
3 When: Monday March 28th and Tuesday March 29th
3 Where: Kresge Auditorium

- This symposium will engage present students and postdocs, junior and
senior faculty, alumni, and friends of MIT, and is woven around the landmark
1996 and 1999 reports of the Faculty Committees on Women in Science and
their subsequent impact inside and beyond MIT.
- The symposium will have plenary sessions of talks by outstanding women
faculty. In addition, there will be sessions giving a historical and current
assessment of women in science and engineering, including the impact of
the 1999 report.
- Registration is free and can be done at the door.

4 What: 6th Annual International Development Night

- This exciting event showcases the latest international innovations
emerging across the Institute.
- The event brings together a diverse audience to share ideas and learn
about MIT international development technologies and projects.
- The evening is a wonderful networking opportunity that promotes social
awareness about pressing global issues such as poverty, public health,
education, and mobility. ID Night @ the MIT Museum is a unique
opportunity for MIT students and staff to present their projects to a wide
range of audiences. Last year's ID Night drew over 400 attendees,
including a large number of Harvard and MIT students, local scientists,
engineers and participants from the Harvard International Development
Conference (IDC) that runs in conjunction with the IDNight
(http://harvardidc.com/).
