- Interested in public health, neglected diseases, patent laws, or research?
- Come find out about MIT UAEM (Universities Allied for Essential Medicines)!
- 10 million people - most in middle or low-income countries - die needlessly
because they do not have access to existing drugs and vaccines. As a leading
source of scientific innovation, MIT?s opportunity - and responsibility - to
turn this around is very real. Less than a year ago, due to the advocacy and
research of UAEM, Harvard, NIH, the CDC, and 20 other institutions have changed
the way they license their medical technologies to improve access for the poor.
- We need you to make this happen at MIT.
- UAEM is an international organization of university students that is changing
the way universities commercialize drugs and other medical technologies, to
protect low-cost access for the poor.
- Refreshments and pizza will be served!
- Questions or comments: email uaemexec at mit.edu
