1 What:     Community Service at the Greater Boston Food Bank

- Come volunteer to help The Greater Boston Food Bank.

- Join grad students from MIT, Tufts, BU, Babson, and Suffolk as we  
inspect, sort & pack donated food items at the GBFB

- This is a great opportunity to meet other Boston-area grad students  
as we give back to our community

- Two shifts are available: 9:30am – 12:00pm & 1:00pm – 3:30pm.  Lunch  
is included!

- To volunteer, contact us at gsc-ac at mit.edu with the shift you would  
like.

2 What:     GSC Athletic and Performance Activities Grant Deadline

- Supports graduate students who pursue a non-research/non-academic  
activity at competitive levels.

- The grant is designed to support MIT graduate students who take part  
in competitions/concerts/events throughout the year.

- The grant can cover fees and expenses such as registration,  
accommodation, travel (air, car rental, gas, tolls, parking, public  
transportation) and equipment shipment if needed.

- PLEASE NOTE:  Members of a team travelling to the same activities  
MUST have the same budget.

- This round covers the period between June 15, 2010 and September  
30th, 2010

- NOTE: The deadline to submit reimbursements for the current round is

your name, course number, and brief description of your logo.

6 HEALTH INSURANCE AFTER GRADUATION

The MIT GSC is a member of the National Association of Graduate- 
Professional Students (NAGPS, http://nagps.org/).  NAGPS provides many  
benefits for its members, including health insurance plans that are  
available up to 18 months after graduation.  To view the available  
plans, please go to https://www.uhcsr.com/NAGPS.

Neither MIT nor the GSC officially endorse this plan, and it is  
suggested that you compare it against other available health insurance
