*MIT Institute Budget Task Forces*

Due to the uncertain economic climate beginning in Fiscal Year 2009,
MIT will undergo a process of assessing its long term goals with
particular emphasis on budgeting and expenditures. As a result, the
Institute has launched a Task Force inviting faculty, staff, and
students to become a part of this transformational process.

The Graduate Student Council has been asked to provide 5 graduate
student representatives to the Task Force subgroups on Academics,
Administrative Issues, and Student Life. We are currently soliciting
for applications to these most important representative positions.
If you are interested, please email gsc-officers at mit.edu with a
short statement of interest (~250 words), as well as a copy of your
resume or curriculum vitae.

*Leadership Evolution for Graduate Students (LEGS)*

Not just more boring talks, but actual useful workshops based on in-
the-trenches experience of the GSC, SAO, and other groups, this series
will help you leap over the hurdles commonly encountered when working
as a leader of a graduate student group.  Plus dinner is provided.
