*Two Dollar Dinner*

What: Two Dollar Dinner - get catered taco bar and ADULT BEVERAGES
(& non-adult beverages) for $2, bring ID to drink
When: Thurs May 8 at 6:30pm; ticket sales going on now
Where: Morss Hall (1st floor of Walker)
Who: Grad students and one guest per student + children are free

*MIT Career Fair Chief Information Officer Needed*

- Duties: Plan and execute the purchase of a new (rackable) server for
the MIT Career Fair. Install the server at IS&T, install the software
(Linux, Apache, etc.), migrate the data & applications (mainly Apache,
MySQL and backups) from the current server. Complete by 5/30.
- Compensation: $500 + bonus based on performance
- Evolution: Possibility to become Webmaster for the Career Fair based
on responsiveness and quality of work. Webmaster position extends from
late May until early Oct '08. Webmaster is compensated $1500+ based on
performance.
- Requirements: experience in Linux server installation and
administration, MySQL, competencies as Webmaster (complex dynamic PHP
pages) appreciated.

*Be an Orientation Committee Co-Chair!*

The Orientation Committee is responsible for welcoming all incoming
first year graduate students to MIT, a mission accomplished by
organizing a variety of events around the beginning of the school year
to help new students meet each other.

The two committee chairs work very closely with the GSC administrators
to deal with the large-scale planning issues, and recruit coordinators
to plan details of individual events.

Orientation is undoubtedly the most exciting time of the school year.
If you wish to get involved in this fun and rewarding experience,
