*GRADRAT GALA TONIGHT!*
What is one of the most distinguished rings in the world? It's the MIT Brass
Rat. The GradRat design follows the traditional guidelines of the classic MIT
Brass Rat: a prominent beaver in the bezel (top), a shank (one side) that
features the MIT seal, and a shank (the other side) with the MIT dome. But it
also features many hidden images that represent the Graduate experience at MIT.
To find out more about the design, the thoughts, hidden images, and all the work
that went behind the scenes to bring you the GradRat, Come to
The GALA
When: Monday October 17th
Time: 7pm
Where: Walker Memorial (building 50)
What should you look forward to?
(Aside from learning about the history of the GradRat)
Buffet Dinner and Foamy beverages, bring ID.
(After all, it's MIT, we couldn't conceivably have an event without free food,
could we?)
and of course raffle and prizes including
- a chance to win one of five Grad Rats
- USB keys
- T-shirts, etc.
You can find the entry forms on http://web.mit.edu/gsc/ring.
Click on Gala, then the contest form. Print it, fill it out and bring it with
you. You must be present to win.
