1. Join the GradRat Committee
GradRat - Official MIT Graduate Ring Committee
The GradRat committee, part of the GSC, will work over the year to promote
the ring through many events using its own marketing budget. The tasks of
the committee are:
Artistic:
- Maintain the department/program icons
Events:
- "Premiere" during Orientation (introduce the GradRat to new students)
- Delivery events
- Ring ordering days (mostly taken care of by Balfour)
- A $20K+ budget
- Maintain the website of the GradRat
Rewards:
- The ring committee gets discounts on their own GradRat
We need at least 3, preferably 5, members in the committee!

S P E C I A L A N N O U N C E M E N T S
1. The Hidden Jewels of our Community - Annual Art Show
Open Viewing: Thursday, April 22, 6-9 p.m.
Bush Room - 10-105 (Donations requested at the door)
Supported by a graduate student life grant
Brought to by spouses&partners at mit
- Meet the artists
- View and purchase their work
- Participate in the silent auction & raffle
- Enjoy light refreshments & entertainment
This juried art exhibit will feature the work of over 20 graduate
student artists and their spouses and partners. Proceeds will support
next year's show and RAW (Raw Art Works), a nonprofit youth arts
organization (http://www.rawart.org/).
If you can't make the opening on the 22nd, the exhibit will be open
all day on April 23.

2. Spring Weekend
April's right around the corner, and that means it's time for
MIT SPRING WEEKEND
(The weekend of pure fun, on the Institute's tab)
