[galib] Installing on OSX, Running on Xcode

Has anyone had success installing the GAlib library on OSX and compiling it
in Xcode?

I'm stuck on the installation part.  Attempting the make or make install
commands in terminal gives me "-bash: make: command not found"

I assume this is trivial.
