[galib] Binary to Decimal class

Hi,

I was wondering what the maximum number of bits is to represent
chromosomes with GAlib. 
Does that depend on the architecture of the system? Compiler?

I am having problems when using binary strings longer than 38 bits.

Any suggestion?
