make install problem

Hi,
 When I use 'make install', I always got the following errors:

install: cp /users/hyuna/galib245/lib libga.a/lib failed

make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `install'
Current working directory /users/hyuna/galib245/ga
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `install'

The only thing I do is change the makevars the destination directory to:
/users/hyuna/galib245

So what the problem is?
