Dear MIT Friends of the Arts,
Twice a year, the Council for the Arts at MIT (CAMIT) awards grant funding
for art projects; the next application deadline is October 22. If you have
an idea for an art project you would like to undertake, we encourage you to
apply! Please also spread the word (see message below and attached poster)
to colleagues and friends who may be interested.
Please feel free to contact council-arts at mit.edu with any questions.
Thank you!
Lydia
-------------
The Council for the Arts at MIT (CAMIT) would like to support your art!
CAMIT Grants support arts projects across all disciplines that engage the
MIT community. Current MIT students, faculty, and staff are eligible to
apply for a CAMIT Grant, and applicants can submit proposals individually
or on behalf of a group or organization. Please visit our website
<https://arts.mit.edu/camit/grants/> to view examples of past projects
supported by CAMIT grants.
Applications are reviewed once a semester by the CAMIT Grants Committee,
and require a project overview, a budget, a résumé, a letter of
recommendation, a one-minute video, and an in-person interview. For more
information, please visit How to Apply for a CAMIT Grant
<https://arts.mit.edu/camit/about/grants/>.
The deadline for the next application cycle is Monday, October 22, 2018.
Applications will be reviewed and interviews will be conducted on November
9.
First time applicants are required to meet with CAMIT Director Rachel
Bennett to discuss their project (repeat applicants are welcome to schedule
a meeting as well). Click here to sign up for a pre-application meeting
