[Editors] Advice on producing/distributing film documentaries

Dear Editors:
I am looking for some sources who can give advice on producing and distributing five-to-seven minute film documentaries. I'd like to hear best practices and hints.
Also, perhaps someone on this list knows someone at the MIT Open Documentary Lab? We believe they may be a good source.
